The Big Barbershop Event of the Year
The 34th annual convention of the British Association of Barbershop Singers will take place at
The Centaur Conference Centre at Cheltenham Racecourse from 23rd - 25th May 2008.

Contests

The two main contests at the Barbershop Convention are Choruses and Quartets

The Chorus Competition :
all BABS registered choruses are eligible to enter the Chorus competition. This year 38 choruses are competing on Saturday 24 May 2008 and the order in which they sing is below.

REVISED CHORUS & SATURDAY EVENING SHOW TIMINGS

Due to the success of having 38 competing choruses at this year’s convention it has become necessary to move Saturday’s chorus competition start time forward by one hour. A revised schedule is published below.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause to your planning schedules particularly those choruses that are performing at the beginning of the competition, but  believe this will allow a more realistic interval between the daytime and evening events.

The Saturday evening show will now start at 8:30 p.m

We believe that these changes to the schedule will better provide the opportunity for everyone to see and hear all that they want to whilst also being able to feed and water themselves in between the day and evening events.

Thank you for your understanding.
